WHAT IS GLUTATHIONE?

Glutathione is a tripeptide that collects all the bad molecules floating around in your body and neutralizes them. These are called free radicals, and when they’re eliminated, your immune system gets a massive boost. Glutathione IV infusion therapy comes with a powerful package of benefits for both your skin and body. Once you get it and see how you feel, you’ll understand why it’s called the Master Molecule.

BENEFITS OF GLUTATHIONE:
1. PREVENTS CHRONIC ILLNESS

Nearly every person with some sort of chronic illness—like Parkinson’s Disease, heart disease, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, and cancer—has one similar characteristic: They’re low on glutathione. When we’ve introduced too many toxins into our bodies or become overwhelmed with oxidative stress, we get sick. Glutathione uses its antioxidant powers to eliminate those toxins and stress, leading to the prevention of chronic illness.

2. SLOWS THE AGING PROCESS

Glutathione spends a lot of time repairing damaged cells—particularly the ones that spur the aging process. By removing free radicals from our bodies, we’re welcoming in stronger hair and nails, tighter and brighter skin, and higher energy levels. Glutathione also encourages mitochondrial growth, creating younger, more beneficial cells to replace the aging ones.

3. BOOSTS ATHLETIC ABILITY

If you want to reach your peak ability athletically, glutathione is one of the best supplements for it. Not only does it decrease incidents of muscle damage, but it also boosts your strength and endurance; encourages your body to make more muscle than fat; and reduces recovery times.

4. CONTROLS INFLAMMATION

Free radicals love to congregate in your body, causing inflammation and damage to whatever meeting spot they choose. But when you have enough glutathione in your body, the antioxidant busts up the free radical party—which means you can say goodbye to inflammation because those cell-damaging molecules causing it were just kicked out.

5. DETOXIFIES THE LIVER

Glutathione is most commonly found in our livers, waiting for any toxins to flow through so it can attach to them and help get them out of the body. By default, that means it’s detoxifying the liver, which helps stave off conditions like fatty liver disease.

6. SKIN LIGHTENING

A surprising side effect of glutathione is that it can unexpectedly lighten your skin tone. Once it gets into your body, it deactivates tyrosinase, the enzyme that produces melanin. But it’s only a temporary shift. As soon as the glutathione cycles through your system, the skin-lightening effects dissipate.

BENEFITS OF INTRAVENOUS GLUTATHIONE

For all its benefits, glutathione struggles with one thing: really getting absorbed into our bodies. Oral glutathione supplements are a start, but enzymes in our stomachs immediately begin to dissolve the bonds holding the three amino acids together. And without those bonds, they won’t be absorbed into our systems.

When you take glutathione intravenously through IV infusion therapy, though, it goes right into the bloodstream. That means you don’t have to worry about whether the antioxidant is being absorbed, because you’re doing the hard work for it to begin with

What’s it used for?

Many common STDs cause few or no symptoms. HIV causes brief flu-like symptoms in some patients but may not cause visible symptoms for years. Early diagnosis of these serious conditions can facilitate earlier treatment and improve long-term outcomes.

Collection method: Blood sample and urine sample

  • Chlamydia & Gonorrhea — This urine test for the bacteria that causes chlamydia & gonorrhea detects infection within 1 to 5 days of exposure.
  • HIV — Detects antibodies and antigens created by your immune system to help detect HIV.
  • Syphilis — Detects antibodies that the body develops in response to the infection that causes syphilis.
  • Hepatitis B Surface Antigen — Detects antigens to hepatitis B to screen for active infection.
  • Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) Types 1 & 2 — Detects antibodies the body produces in response to herpes.
  • Hepatitis C Virus HCV Antibody — Measures the level of hepatitis C antibodies to screen for infection with hepatitis C virus.
  • Hepatitis A Antibody, IgM — This test measures the level of Hepatitis IgM antibodies in the blood.

What’s it used for? This package is used to screen for infection with:

  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Hepatitis C
  • HIV
  • HSV 1&2
  • Syphilis

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR MEN AND WOMEN TO GET TESTED?

Early detection of STDs and HIV allows patients to start treatment as soon as possible. When treatment is started in the early stages of infection, it:

Significantly reduces one’s risk of infecting others

Significantly reduces the risk of developing health complications associated with STDs and HIV, like certain cancers

Can help patients maintain a healthy immune system

An STD panel is recommended alongside HIV testing because people who have been diagnosed with an STD are more likely to contract HIV and infect others with HIV.

If you get a Comprehensive STD Panel with Early HIV Detection test eight weeks after potential exposure, it is recommended that you redo the test between 8 and 12 weeks after the date of potential exposure.

WHO SHOULD CONSIDER TAKING THIS PANEL?

Any individual who is concerned that they may have contracted HIV, or an STD should consider getting the Comprehensive STD Panel with Early HIV Detection. People who are at a higher-than-average risk of contracting HIV and other STDs should consider the Comprehensive STD Panel with Early HIV Detection. Men and women at a higher-than-average risk include those who:

Are between the ages of 15 to 24

Have sex with multiple partners

Have a sex partner who has been diagnosed with HIV or another STD

Have been forced to have sex

Currently used or previously used injectable drugs

What’s it used for?

This panel provides a more in-depth analysis of hormone levels. Hormone levels start to decline over time and may include symptoms such as low energy, low sex drive, weight gain, insomnia, decreased muscle strength as well as cognitive decline. However, Estradiol and Estrogen levels may increase over time and may be associated with cardiovascular risk, prostate disorders, and weight gain in men. The Men’s Expanded Hormone Package can help measure hormone levels whether you have started any hormone replacement therapy or may be interested in starting hormone replacement therapy.

  • Complete Blood Count / CBC. Measures red and white blood cells, hematocrit, hemoglobin, and platelets.
  • DHEA -S measures levels of a steroid hormone that your body converts into estrogen and androgens (testosterone). A high-test result may indicate an adrenal tumor or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), while a low-test result may indicate Addison’s disease
  • Estradiol measures the amount of estradiol in a person’s blood. Estradiol, also known as E2, is one of the four types of estrogen that the ovaries chiefly produce. The adrenal glands, placenta, testes, and some tissues also produce smaller amounts of this hormone.
  • Prostate-Specific Antigen is a blood test used primarily to screen for prostate cancer
  • Total Testosterone measures the entire amount of testosterone in the body, including both the amount bound to proteins that help transport the hormone through the bloodstream and free testosterone.
  • SHBG This test shows how much testosterone is in the body, but not how much is being used by the body.
  • Prolactin levels have been used to measure sexual satisfaction in both men and women. A prolactin level test can reveal other issues caused by the hormone.
  • Cortisol measures the level of the hormone cortisol in the blood. The cortisol level may show problems with the adrenal glands or pituitary gland. Cortisol is made by the adrenal glands.

SYMPTOMS OF HORMONE IMBALANCE

Symptoms depend on which glands and hormones are affected. Your body has several endocrine glands, which each release different hormones and control different organs.

Signs of hormone imbalance include:

  • Weight gain or loss
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Sensitivity to temperature changes
  • Changes in heart rate and/or blood pressure
  • Changes in blood sugar
  • Changes in appetite
  • Brittle, fragile bones
  • Anxiety
  • Mood swings
  • Fatigue
  • Reduced sex drive
  • Heavy, painful, or irregular periods
  • Infertility

MALE AND FEMALE HORMONES

While most people think of testosterone as a male hormone and estrogen as a female hormone, both are naturally-occurring hormones in both males and females. These sex hormones are involved in libido and reproduction, but they can also influence other parts of your physical and mental health, like energy, mood, muscle mass, cholesterol, and bone health.

Imbalances can keep you from feeling your best at any stage of life. In addition to individual hormone tests, we also offer hormone panels catered specifically to men, women, and those transitioning.

Test results may take 7-10 business days.

Hormone levels start to decline over time and may include symptoms such as hot flashes, irregular menstrual cycles/painful or heaving bleeding, low energy, low sex drive, weight gain, water retention, insomnia, decreased muscle strength as well as cognitive decline. The Women’s Expanded Hormone Package can help measure hormone levels whether you have started any hormone replacement therapy or may be interested in starting hormone replacement therapy. For women who have a 28-day cycle, blood should be drawn on day 21 (day 1 is the day that bleeding begins). For longer or shorter cycles, count 8 days back from the day your next menstruation would start.

  • CBC – Complete Blood Count / CBC.  Measures red and white blood cells, hematocrit, hemoglobin, and platelets.
  • DHEA-Sulfate measures levels of a steroid hormone that your body converts into estrogen and androgens (testosterone).
  • Progesterone measures the level of progesterone in the blood. Progesterone is a hormone made by a woman’s ovaries. Progesterone plays an important role in pregnancy. It helps make your uterus ready to support a fertilized egg.
  • Total Testosterone measures the entire amount of testosterone in the body, including both the amount bound to proteins that help transport the hormone through the bloodstream and free testosterone.
  • SHBG This test shows how much testosterone is in the body, but not how much is being used by the body. Measures the level of sex hormone-binding globulin.
  • luteinizing hormone measures how much LH is in your blood. LH helps your reproductive system: specifically, a woman’s ovaries and a man’s testes. It’s also called lutropin and interstitial cell-stimulating hormone
  • Follicle-stimulating hormone measures the level of FSH in your blood. FSH is made by your pituitary gland, a small gland located underneath the brain. FSH plays an important role in sexual development and functioning

This profile includes tests used to screen for anemia, a blood disorder that occurs when the red blood cell (RBC) or hemoglobin levels are low.

Test results may take 1-2 business days.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC) with Differential. Measures red and white blood cells, hematocrit, hemoglobin, and platelets
  • Reticulocyte Count. This test measures the number of reticulocytes, which are immature red blood cells produced by the bone marrow.
  • Iron & Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC). Measures the amount of iron available to bind to proteins, providing additional information about possible iron deficiency or iron overload
  • CMP is a comprehensive metabolic panel is a blood test that measures your sugar (glucose) level, electrolyte and fluid balance, kidney function, and liver function. Glucose is a type of sugar your body uses for energy. Electrolytes keep your body’s fluids in balance.
  • Ferritin helps your doctor understand how much iron your body stores. If a ferritin test reveals that your blood ferritin level is lower than normal, it indicates your body’s iron stores are low and you have iron deficiency. As a result, you could be anemic
  • Folic Acid measures the amount of folic acid in the blood. Folic acid is vitamin B-9, which is essential to produce healthy red blood cells. These cells deliver oxygen to
  • Transferrin total iron-binding capacity (TIBC) or unsaturated iron-binding capacity (UIBC) test may be used along with other iron tests to assess the amount of iron circulating in the blood, the total capacity of the blood to transport iron, and the amount of stored iron in the body
  • Vitamin B-12 measures the level of B12 (also called cobalamin) found in your blood. Lower than normal levels of B12 may cause fatigue, muscle weakness, intestinal problems, numbness, memory loss, anemia, as well as irreversible nerve damage if left untreated.

SIGNS OF ANEMIA

MILD OR MODERATE ANEMIA MAY CAUSE FEW OR NO SYMPTOMS AND BE EASY TO OVERLOOK. Many people don’t realize they have anemia until it’s determined with a blood test. The different types of anemia can have very similar symptoms, despite their different causes.

WHEN SYMPTOMS OF ANEMIA OCCUR, THEY CAN INCLUDE:

  • Tiredness
  • Weakness
  • Lack of energy
  • Pale skin
  • Dizziness
  • Headaches
  • Cold or numb feeling in hands or feet
  • Fast or irregular heartbeat
  • Chest pain

Collection method: Blood sample and urine sample

This baseline health panel includes a complete blood count (CBC), comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP), urinalysis (UA), hemoglobin A1C (HgbA1c), lipid panel, as well as the Iron, GGT (a key liver enzyme), Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH), and Vitamin D 25 hydroxy levels.

This package of 9 lab tests provides an assessment of overall health, more than 60 measurements that are often associated with an annual physician’s exam. This carefully chosen combination should be a key component of any wellness routine, helping identify health concerns before they progress into chronic or life-threatening conditions.

Test results may take 3-6 business days.

What’s it used for?

This carefully designed package conveniently measures more than 60 markers that can help identify problems or trends in the function of your organs and body’s systems. Early detection is a key success factor when addressing health conditions. We highly recommend this panel to pinpoint weaknesses or concerns before symptoms start appearing.

Comprehensive wellness lab testing helps you to screen for potential red flags that could compromise your overall health

THE COMPREHENSIVE WELLNESS TEST PANEL COVERS A BROAD SCOPE, INCLUDING THE HEALTH OF THE:

  • Heart
  • Thyroid
  • Circulatory System
  • Liver
  • Kidneys
  • Glands
  • Nerves
  • Bones
  • Muscles

What’s it used for?

The Expanded Thyroid Panel evaluates normal function. A healthy functioning thyroid needs a balanced level of thyroid-stimulating hormone or TSH, T3 uptake, and T4. Together these hormones stimulate the gland and store hormones that increase or decrease energy expenditure. The thyroid is also related to the role of other body systems and may cause certain symptoms if it is not functioning at optimum.

  • T3 (Triiodothyronine), Free. Measures the amount of freely circulating triiodothyronine (T3) to evaluate thyroid function.
  • T4. Measures the amount of free thyroxine (T4) to evaluate thyroid function.
  • T3 (Triiodothyronine), Total. Measures the total amount of triiodothyronine, T3, to evaluate thyroid function.
  • Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) Antibodies. Measures the amount of thyroid peroxidase (TPO) antibodies to help understand the cause of thyroid disorders.

The role of these hormones may include:

  • The thyroid-stimulating hormone or TSH signals the thyroid to perform its job and burn calories.
  • T3 uptake is used to estimate the amount of TBG (Thyroxine-Binding Globulin) in the blood and how much T3 and T4 is available for the body to use. This number directly affects the T3 and T4 levels.
  • T4 circulates in the blood and influences how other organs and the heart function in the body.
  • T7 is a calculated measure of T4 x T3U (T3 Uptake).
  • T3 helps regulate metabolism and body temperature.

The thyroid is essential for all parts of your body to function properly. It’s a butterfly-shaped endocrine gland in your neck that is responsible for producing two major hormones: T3 (triiodothyronine) and T4 (thyroxine). These chemical substances control how you use energy (your metabolism), helping to regulate heart rate, body temperature, digestion, brain health, and more. Most T3 and T4 are bound to proteins in the blood, but a small portion aren’t bound and circulate as free hormones.

The amount of T3 and T4 that your thyroid gland secretes is regulated by your pituitary gland. It senses thyroid hormone levels in your blood and works to maintain stable amounts of T3 and T4.

If T3 and T4 levels are low, the pituitary gland secretes TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) to make the thyroid produce more T4, and ultimately more T3.

When thyroid hormone levels are normal, the pituitary gland stops secreting so that the thyroid makes less T4.

MONITOR YOUR THYROID FUNCTION

The thyroid gland can become underactive (hypothyroidism) or overactive (hyperthyroidism), causing health complications. Evaluating thyroid hormone levels can help diagnose thyroid disorders.

HYPOTHYROIDISM

Hypothyroidism means that the thyroid gland doesn’t make enough thyroid hormone.

Symptoms of hypothyroidism include:

  • Tiredness
  • Weight gain
  • Weakness
  • Muscle and joint aches
  • Hair loss
  • Depression
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Sensitivity to cold
  • Memory loss
  • Constipation
  • Heavy or irregular periods

Common causes include:

  • Autoimmune disease such as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis
  • Surgical removal of the thyroid
  • Radiation therapy
  • Certain medications
  • Too little iodine

HYPERTHYROIDISM

Hyperthyroidism means that the thyroid gland makes too much thyroid hormone.

Symptoms of hyperthyroidism include:

  • Increased appetite
  • Nervousness
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Weakness
  • Fatigue
  • Weight loss
  • Enlarged thyroid (goiter)
  • Sensitivity to heat
  • Dry hair
  • Hair thinning or loss
  • Changes in the menstrual cycle, such as light or missed periods
  • Infertility

Common causes include:

  • Grave’s disease (the most common cause of hyperthyroidism)
  • Hyperfunctioning thyroid nodules
  • Thyroiditis, or inflammation of the thyroid
  • Excess iodine

Magnesium Chloride is responsible for more than 300 processes in the body, including the regulation of blood sugar and blood pressure, as well as muscle and nerve function. It also helps with the production of proteins, bone minerals, and DNA, the genetic material in cells.
